Emission Trading Systems and net zero: how do they fit?
12 November, 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM (CET)
As countries put forward carbon neutrality targets, policymakers have to grapple with how to achieve them. The scale of the challenge has brought more awareness to the importance and role of negative emission technologies (NETs) in achieving decarbonization goals. At the same time, policymakers are working to understand the role that emissions trading systems (ETSs) should play in their decarbonization strategies. This event will explore the interactions between ETSs, deep decarbonization and negative emission technologies.
